In the spring of 2019, we sadly bid farewell to our cherished Coach Dan. For over 25 years, he was a cornerstone of the youth soccer community, sharing his passion for the sport with countless children. He took immense pride in coaching his daughter’s and granddaughters' teams throughout the years. Together with his wife Lori, Dan ensured that every child who wanted to play had the opportunity, often covering or contributing to their registration fees. He was a vital part of our club, exemplifying what it means to be a youth coach, with genuine care for his players and a deep love for the game. He will be deeply missed. 

In honor of Dan and Lori’s spirit of giving, we have established the Coach Dan York Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund will provide registration scholarships for Van West SC. Donations can be made via Venmo.
